Breadfruit Festival
20 August 2024 - Budajenő, Magtár
The organisers were waiting for the fans of artisan breads and bakery products in a place close to nature!
On 20 August, we celebrate a special day: the feast of St Stephen, the founder of the State, which is also the day of the new bread. This day is not only about honouring the past, but also about our future - because good bread is the result of sustainable farming.
Visitors with a passion for good bread and clean food could participate in professional and family programmes. At the exhibitors' stands you could find the best bakeries of the country and products of many excellent artisan food businesses. The biggest bread lovers could show off their skills in a home baking competition.
The event was a great success, with thousands of visitors. Many people participated both as exhibitors and visitors, and we were pleased to see more and more farmers represented alongside bakers and millers. This is how we get from the soil to the bread: farmer - miller - baker.
We were there to work together for good bread and clean food!
There were also substantial panel discussions. Our colleague Vitka participated in the roundtable discussion on healthy food. He explained that healthy soil is essential for healthy food and explained the benefits of regenerative farming.
Interestingly, we sold more no-till books for beginners than at an agricultural event.
