Soil renewal from the farmers' perspective
On March 13, 2024, Bence Márkus, a founding member of the Soil Renewal Farmers Association, and his wife Ani, gave an inspiring talk about their experiences in grassland management and animal husbandry. Their farm includes sheep, horses, cattle, llamas and alpacas. All of them play an important role in their farm, performing partly economic and partly maintenance tasks on their land.
Their love project is to create a multi-acre orchard with resistant species and a high species diversity. In doing so, they hope to provide high quality food not only for their own family, but also for the conscious eating communities in the area.
