Prof. Dr. Csaba Gyuricza
Csaba Gyuricza, Professor, Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Rector of the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
His main research interests are the investigation of the effects of tillage systems on soil physical and biological conditions in field and small plot experiments, the development of green manure application and nutrient retention technologies under varying climatic conditions. Research into the potential of planting energy crops in less favoured areas.
After the red sludge disaster, he led a professional consortium for landscape rehabilitation and advised the Minister of the Interior on the development of agricultural programmes for public employment.
He is a member of several national and international professional societies and has received numerous awards.
