Brillfield Partners has been working on nature-based solutions for water management and climate adaptation since 2014. This is a highly specialised field where the tools of water engineering, soil conservation and landscape architecture can be applied in a way that is sensitive to and sensitive to the landscape, but bold compared to established practice. In addition to the tools of soil mechanics, spatial informatics and geodesy, an understanding of the historical evolution of the landscape and field experience are key to finding solutions.
