I am György Tamás Csigó, Sales Manager of SENCROP in Hungary and Central Europe.

Our company, SENCROP, is a leader in precision agriculture, in the development and marketing of agro-meteorological stations (hardware) and their own applications (software), decision support systems. We will enable all farmers to make better decisions and reduce the risks to their crops in a form of sustainable agriculture.

Our solutions are ideal for use in fields, vineyards, orchards, etc. Our partners include many renowned players in the agricultural market: e.g. in the fields of seeds, pesticides, agricultural machinery, etc. Our production users have small or large farms or vineyards, apple orchards, other orchards.

We operate more than 35,000 meteorological stations worldwide, of which 650 are in operation in Hungary.

Our meteorological stations are the Precipitation and Thermometer, Wind Sensor, Wind Sensor, Solar Sensor and Soil Sensor. Or a combination of these.

Among the many features of the SENCROP application, I would like to highlight the following, without claiming to be exhaustive:

• With our irrigation monitoring system, users can get daily information on the evaporation and water availability of the crops grown on their land. This allows you to decide how much water is optimally applied to avoid wilting.
• For maize and sunflower, we predict the vegetation stages from sowing to harvest.
• The 'Spray Time Windows' feature helps to ensure that the grower does not need to go out to the field to carry out the treatment if weather conditions are unfavourable.
• Freeze alert: the customisable feature sends alerts via SMS, email so you can take timely action.

Meteorological stations are included in the Irrigation Improvement Programme, and they can also be of great help in the AKG programme.
